TV and film writer

Daniel Vaillancourt is a Southern California-based writer who divides his time between homes in Palm Springs and Los Angeles. A former medical writer for WebMD and frequent contributor to The Advocate, he currently writes for the Gannett Company's glossy LGBT magazine Desert Outlook, and with husband David A. Lee, ghostblogs for www.RelaxRanchoMirage.com, the travel and tourism website of the City of Rancho Mirage, under the pennames “Potter Palma” and “Diana Dodge.” Daniel and David are also TV and film writers whose biopic based on William J. Mann's bestseller "Hello Gorgeous: Becoming Barbra Streisand" is in development with Melanie Mayron directing. The two have served as the co-vice chairs of the Gay & Lesbian Writers Committee of the Writers Guild of America West since 2006, and most recently scripted the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, which honored Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts, among others.
