Davar Ardalan leads systems storytelling around food and nutrition, ocean health, materials innovation, circular economy and big data. She's been at the forefront of experimenting with new storytelling tools and techniques including 360 capture, VR, and drone storytelling. As a veteran journalist and former social media strategist at NPR News, her real-time campaigns garnered millions of impressions on Twitter. She has been recognized with a Gracie Award from the American Women in Radio and Television, two NABJ Awards, and a shout-out in the popular comic strip Zippy. She began her radio career as a reporter in 1991 at KUNM in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In May 2014, she was the recipient of an Ellis Island Medal of Honor, for individual achievement and for promoting cultural unity.
