Dave Linn

Dave Linn is the co-founder of Cycle for Survival, the national, high energy indoor team cycling event that is owned and operated by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Together with its founding partner, Equinox, Cycle for Survival raises money to fight rare cancers by funding critical research. Within six months of each Cycle for Survival event, every dollar raised is allocated to a Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center research initiative devoted to discovering new and more effective treatments for rare cancers. In the past six years, Cycle has raised more than $23M and directly funded 53 clinical trials and research studies.

In addition to his active involvement with Cycle for Survival, Dave is a Principal at Oak Point Partners, Inc. Prior to starting Oak Point in 2004, Dave worked at both McKinsey & Company and CenterPost Communications. During his years at McKinsey, Dave had a unique arrangement whereby he took a 5-month leave of absence every year to play soccer professionally with the Chicago Stingers Professional Soccer Club.

Dave holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has a BA, with highest distinction, from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, Dave was elected Team Captain of the varsity soccer team, and he received the Director's Award for Best Academic Performance by a Northwestern Student-Athlete.
