Dave Snyder

Dave Snyder is the rooftop farm coordinator at Uncommon Ground in Edgewater Chicago. Since 2004 Dave has helped manage Ginkgo Organic Gardens, an all-volunteer, organic food bank garden in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. He is founder and president of the Chicago Rarities Orchard Project (CROP) which aims to bring orchards specializing in rare and endangered fruit to Chicago. As a poet, Dave is a recipient of the Iowa Review Award in Poetry and his work has appeared in Sentence, the Denver Quarterly, Best American Poetry, and elsewhere.
