Davíd Cook-Martín is an international migration expert and associate professor of sociology at Grinnell College, a nationally recognized, private four-year liberal arts college located in Grinnell, IA.

He studies global immigration policy, ethnicity, and citizenship. He is the author of The Scramble for Citizens: Dual Nationality and State Competition for Immigrants (Stanford University Press, 2013) and coauthor with David FitzGerald of Culling the Masses: The Democratic Origins of Racist Immigration Policy in the Americas (forthcoming, Harvard University Press).
