David Del Vecchio is the owner of Idlewild Books, a Manhattan bookstore specializing in travel and international literature and organized by country. Before opening Idlewild in May 2008, David spent ten years working for the United Nations, most recently as a press officer for refugee programs in Africa and Latin America. David has lived in Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, and South Africa, and has traveled to more than 50 countries for work and pleasure.
