David Evanier is the author of eight books, including biographies of Bobby Darin ("Roman Candle") Jimmy Roselli ("Making the Wiseguys Weep"), and Joe Pantoliano ("Who's Sorry Now") and three novels, including "The Great Kisser." He is a former senior editor of "The Paris Review" and a winner of the Aga Khan Fiction Prize. His work has appeared in "Best American Short Stories," "New York Magazine," "The New York Times," "The Village Voice," "The Nation" and scores of other publications.
