Dawn Erin grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts and is the author of the gritty autobiographical novel The Iron Horse. She is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and works as an actress, most recently seen on ABC's American Crime and HBO's final season of The Leftovers. Dawn is an avid animal rights and rescue advocate. She is a long time volunteer with the No Kill shelter Austin Pets Alive! and has written a series of articles detailing their history. Dawn is proud momma to many dogs and one American Saddlebred horse. She lives in Austin, Texas.
