Dee Evans

Political Junkie and Chamber of Commerce Exec

Dee Evans is an Association Meeting Planner from Dallas, Texas. She attended Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas where she double majored in Political Science and English Literature. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Pleasant Grove Community Baptist Church in Dallas.

Dee is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and has taught meeting management courses as an Adjunct Professor at Richland College and served on the Richland College Travel, Exposition and Meeting Management Advisory Board.

Dee has served on boards and committees of several businesses and charitable organizations including: the Dallas Women’s Foundation, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Girl Scouts of North Texas, Meeting Professionals International (MPI), National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), several chambers of commerce and is a founding member of the YWCA Young Leaders Board.

Among Dee’s national accomplishments are: Tomorrow’s Leader of MPI, ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Scholar (first from the State of Texas), Association Trends Magazine Young and Aspiring Association Professional (recognizing outstanding business and industry leaders under 40) and the APEX Award For Distinguished Service for notable contributions that enhance the travel and tourism industry.
