She has been featured in Time, Redbook, MamaGlow and countless other blogs, websites and magazines. Nicknamed “the reader”, Denna can figure out any situation. She has the unique ability to read people on the spot. Her gift is teaching others how to transform a difficult past into a thriving future. Getting people refocused and on to their life’s purpose is what she lives to do. As one infamous fatherless daughter so eloquently put it, “Talking to Denna is like having your best friend, an intuitive guru, and a drill sergeant, with a slight southern drawl, all in one. It is the highlight of my week.” It works because she has done it for herself. After tragically losing her father when she was thirteen, she realized depression was not all that it was cracked up to be and decided to go after life with all guns ‘a blazing. Feeling called to be the voice of fatherless daughters she founded a non-profit, produced a short documentary on fatherless daughters, and co-authored a book. She is the creator of The Fatherless Daughter Movement; which focuses on empowering fatherless daughters and the people who love them through: group work, one-on-one sessions, family reconciliations and a newly thriving mentorship program. She lives in Atlanta with her saint of a husband and two children, Sophie Bleu and Weston Grey. Denna has dedicated her life to helping bring the silent epidemic of fatherlessness to the forefront. She is currently working on her third book, Relationship Rehab: Taking the Dysfunction From Childhood Out of Your Adult Relationships.
