Diane Van

Diane Van is the Deputy Director of the USDA’s Food Safety Education Staff, which is located in Beltsville, Maryland. She was previously the manager of the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline, a food safety information center for consumers that provides helpful advice on handling, storing, and preparing meat, poultry, and egg products safely. Ms. Van is a home economist and a graduate of the University of Maryland. She has been with USDA for 24 years and lives in Rockville, Maryland with her family, her quilts, and her blooming violets.
