Diane Powell

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Philanthropist, Volunteer

Diane is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a founding member of Maverick Collective, a philanthropic group benefitting girls and women in developing countries. Through MC, she is supporting a pilot project to improve maternal and infant health in Senegal and a social franchise model for women’s health clinics in Honduras (maverickcollective.org). Diane is also on the Board of Directors for The Hypersomnia Foundation, which raises funds for research into this chronic, neurological sleep disorder and provides information and support to sufferers (hypersomniafoundation.org). She is co-founder of her family’s Robertson Powell Foundation, which supports these diverse and innovative health initiatives. As an LCSW she has worked in agency and private practice settings providing psychotherapy for clients struggling with mental health issues.   Diane is currently a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children in the San Francisco Bay Area.
