Andrew Neel

Filmmaker, Director of GOAT

Andrew Neel was born in Vermont and holds a BA in film studies from Columbia University. In 2001 he founded the film collective SeeThink Productions. Neel’s first film, the cult classic DARKON (Audience Award SXSW Film Festival 2006) was released in 2007. Neel’s critically acclaimed second film, ALICE NEEL, was released theatrically by Arthouse Films and aired on Sundance Channel in 2007. His next film THE FEATURE premiered at the 2008 Berlinale and won the New Visions Award at the CPH:DOX. Neel went on to produce STAND CLEAR OF THE CLOSING DOORS (Tribeca Special Jury Mention) and was an Executive Producer for BLUEBIRD (staring John Slattery). He was an executive producer on SeeThink’s latest documentary BREAKING A MONSTER directed by Luke Meyer. Neel’s first fictional feature the controversial KING KELLY (SXSW 2012) was released in 2012. GOAT is the second fictional feature directed by Neel.
