Donna Stefano

Project Director for Global Communities

Donna Stefano is a single American mother raising her young son in the West Bank while serving as Project Director for Global Communities. She has worked in the field of international development since 1994, managing complex humanitarian and development assistance programs.

Before joining Global Communities (formerly CHF International) in 2004, she worked for the U.S. State Department, the United Nations, and Save the Children. She has lived and worked in diverse locations including the West Bank and Gaza, Yemen, Jordan, Lebanon, the Congo, Botswana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Pakistan. She holds a Master’s of Public Administration from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of Arabic. She grew up in Rochester, N.Y. and calls Silver Spring, Md., her home when she is based in the States. Her hobbies include yoga, hiking and reading.
