Doug is the founder of Ecological Services and Markets, Inc., a research and development firm that incorporates the value of ecological benefits into existing markets. The firm specializes in data-driven solutions that fit into existing policies. Doug completed his PhD at Michigan State University with support from a USEPA Fellowship, completed his Post Doctoral work at the Helmholtz Centre in Leipzig Germany, and is a recent graduate of the Accelerating Appalachia Program.
