Aaron Golden is a professional astronomer who has transferred his analytical skills working with telescope data to that of digitized 'genomic' datasets, and he currently teaches genomics methodologies on NUI Galway's flagship Masters program in Biomedical Genomics. When he is not mining genomes, he mines the sky, with a specific interest in the 'missing link' between stars and planets, brown dwarfs. His celestial namesake, minor planet 11451 'Aarongolden', shouldn't hit the Earth any time soon...
