Dr. Barbara-Jayne Lewthwaite

Dr. Barbara-Jayne Lewthwaite is the 12th President of Centenary College. She is the second woman and second former faculty member to hold the position since Centenary’s founding in 1867. She brings sound academic credentials to the post, as well as strong educational leadership skills and valuable business acumen. She is on the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) Board of Directors representing the Association’s Region II, which includes Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. Dr. Lewthwaite is widely published with regard to student learning and was honored by Garden State Woman as Woman of the Year in 2011.
