Dr. Burak Alsan

Burak Alsan, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Medicine and Pediatrics at Stanford University. Dr. Alsan received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and completed his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Il. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Harvard Combined Program at Brigham and Women's and Children's Hospitals in Boston, MA. After completing training, Dr Alsan spent 4 years as a primary care physician at Uphams Corner Health Center in Dorchester, MA where he was medical director for the final 2 years. Since 2013, Dr. Alsan has been working at both Stanford Hospital and Stanford Children's Hospital as a primary care provider with keen interest in the care of young adults with chronic medical needs. He is a devoted father of 2 young children and husband to Dr. Marcella Alsan, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H. an accomplished physican economist at Stanford University.
