Dr. Chewe Luo is a senior adviser and technical team leader for country programme HIV scale up at UNICEF headquarters in New York. She has previously served as a UNICEF HIV regional adviser for Eastern and Southern Africa in Nairobi and as a UNICEF HIV technical adviser in Botswana. Before joining UNICEF, she worked as a pediatrician at the University Teaching Hospital in Zambia where she worked as a pediatrician and spearheaded key infectious disease research related to malnutrition, diarrheal disease, tuberculosis and HIV.
