Dr. Karen Soren

Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Public Health at Columbia University Medical Center and Director of Adolescent Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital

Dr. Karen Soren is Board Certified in Adolescent Medicine, and has served as the director of adolescent healthcare at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian since 1995. Dr. Soren has been responsible for developing the Adolescent Medicine training program at Columbia University Medical Center for medical students and residents, and has been supervising this program since its inception. She has been involved in the clinical care of teenagers since 1988, and has received grants to fund clinical research in adolescent tuberculosis, contraception, and school health. Her areas of expertise include adolescent reproductive healthcare, mental health issues in adolescents and underage drinking.
