Edmund Stump is a Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University. He is also a geologist, polar explorer, mountaineer and photographer specializing in the geology of the Transantarctic Mountains. He has spent 13 Antarctic field seasons conducting geological research sponsored by the National Science Foundation, most recently as Chief Scientist on an expedition to the Beardmore Glacier area.
