Edesa Scarborough

Edesa Scarborough holds a bachelor and master’s degree in psychology and a doctorate degree in Higher Education Leadership. She specializes in the area of first year student persistence and academic success with specific focus on first year student retention. Dr. Scarborough teaches a course on conflict and violence specializing in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution/ mediation for the leadership minor at The University of Tampa.

Dr. Scarborough has been involved in the area of first year student retention for over 13 years and has presented at several conferences. She was the 1997 recipient of the Extending Dreams Grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Education for work in the recruitment and retainment of students of color in higher education.
