Based in Paris for many years, Eileen Horowitz Bastianelli has worked in a variety of content-oriented fields and has a rare perspective on the opportunities and interdependencies of our global marketplace. With the rapid proliferation of content delivery systems, Eileen has successfully created, financed, produced, and applied her content monetization expertise across all screens.
Eileen has developed and executed profitable strategies for media groups, advertising agencies, telecommunications companies, and political organizations that include Lion's Gate, Orange, Comcast, and Canal+, BBDO, and Elite World.
More specifically, as a television executive, Eileen secured $30+M in funding for a number of worldwide broadcasting projects. She also set up and managed a content entity at BBDO working with such brands as PepsiCo, L'Oreal, and Masterfoods.
In 2008 after producing a PSA with Gwyneth Paltrow to get out the overseas vote, Eileen set up and ran Social Media for Democrats Abroad in 2012, targeting 6M+ Americans overseas through data-mining and targeted digital initiatives.
In 2009, she launched Elite Entertainment, a subsidiary of the world-renowned modeling agency Elite World. As President and partner of this Elite subsidiary, Eileen was able to focus on developing and expanding the brand and worked with all 55 offices worldwide. Elite World was acquired in 2011.
Eileen’s strategic business and joint venture development expertise over the span of her career also includes working closely with CEOs as an advisor on digital and social strategy, positioning and acquisitions using her expertise in the crossover of media, technology and innovation.
She recently produced “On the Road”, managed Brand Positioning for Silentale, an enterprise software and data company, advised the CEO of Elan-Edelman France in transition/international positioning after their merger, recently handled the US expansion strategy for agency acquisitions for a major French advertising group. Eileen is currently working on 1 Heart 1 Tree an art, tech, philanthropy installation on the Eiffel Tower during the COP21.
Eileen was raised in Los Angeles. She relocated to Paris after graduating from UC Berkeley. As a dual national, she has spent her career working around the globe, connecting people and businesses. Eileen is passionate about content, social change, technology, and innovation. She is a regular speaker at industry festivals and conferences.
