Elisa Gordon

Associate Professor, Northwestern University

Dr. Gordon is Associate Professor in the Center for Healthcare Studies and Comprehensive Transplant Center at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, in Chicago, IL. Dr. Gordon trained as a medical anthropologist at Case Western Reserve University and as a clinical ethicist at the University of Chicago. She received her Master’s degree in public health at University of Illinois at Chicago with an emphasis on community health. Dr. Gordon conducts mixed-methods research on informed consent, health disparities, and other ethical issues pertaining to kidney transplantation and living donation, with federal funding support. She serves as the Vice Chair of the UNOS Ethics Committee, on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Transplantation, and as Treasurer of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.
