Co-Founder and Co-Director Plan C

Elisa Wells, MPH, is Co-Founder and Co-Director of Plan C. She began her career at Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, where she managed a variety of projects aimed at expanding women’s access to information and technologies related to contraception and abortion. Ms. Wells was also a founding member of the International Consortium for Emergency Contraception and served as its Coordinator from 1998 to 2001. In her current role as an independent consultant, she has done evaluation, strategic development, and program management for many organizations, including Abortion Access Project, Alaska Pro-Choice Alliance, Association of Reproductive Health Professionals, Compton Foundation, Ipas, MacArthur Foundation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Family Care International, PATH, and Venture Strategies Innovations. Ms. Wells has served on the Steering Committee of the American Society of Emergency Contraception and the Board of Planned Parenthood of Alaska as well as on several health-related committees in her local community. Ms. Wells received her BA from Oberlin College and her MPH from the University of Michigan.
