Elisabeth Gruner is an associate professor of English at the University of Richmond. Her current research focuses on children's fantasy literature, especially as it relates to gender, education and religion. She teaches a first-year seminar course on fairy tales and also writes a weekly blog post for Inside Higher Ed on its Mama, PhD blog, “Mothering at Mid-Career.”
