Elise Doganieri

Emmy award-winning producer & co-creator of "The Amazing Race"

Elise Doganieri is an eight-time Emmy® award-winning producer best known for co-creating and producing CBS’s reality TV juggernaut The Amazing Race. Together, with Bertram van Munster her producing partner, they run Profiles Television, an award-winning full-service production company that develops and produces programming for the worldwide marketplace.

The Amazing Race is currently in production on its 22nd season for CBS, with season 21 premiering on September 30, 2012. Since launching in 2001, the series has aired more than 180 episodes, and is seen in 80+ countries, with local versions of the show also produced in Asia, Australia, South America, and Israel.

Since the “Outstanding Reality-Competition Program” Emmy category was introduced by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2003, Executive Producer Doganieri has won the award for The Amazing Race every year save 2010, including a streak of seven consecutive victories between 2003-2009.

For The Amazing Race, Doganieri earned a Producers Guild of America award in 2005 and 2012 for Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television and Outstanding Producer of Competition Television, respectively, along with additional nominations in the reality sphere from the Producer’s Guild of America and the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

Branching into cable, van Munster helped propel TNT into the unscripted world with the competition series The Great Escape, which premiered on the network in June 2012, and is currently in local-language production in several countries around the world.
Upcoming projects include the pilot Dash for Cash for A&E, a US-based travel-competition show, and a new series set to premiere next year on Spike. Other series include Oprah’s Big Give, Take The Money & Run, and Profiles from the Front Line, all for ABC.

In 2011, Doganieri developed and executive produced for Ford two groundbreaking, interactive branded-entertainment programs, Focus Rally: America, which aired on Hulu, and Escape Routes, which aired on NBC and also had a live-streaming and interactive component via the Internet. In addition to developing future iterations of this program, Doganieri and her producing partner are creating a wide range of projects for various broadcast and cable networks, including a new series set to premiere on Spike in 2013.

Prior to Profiles Television, Doganieri worked as an advertising executive for top agencies in both New York and Los Angeles, including Ogilvy & Mather, DDB Needham, and Chiat/Day.

Before her advertising career, Doganieri co-founded in 1994 the New York-based Open-I-Media, an Internet consulting and design firm that developed strategies, interactive solutions and design for several Fortune 500 companies.

In 2006, Doganieri was honored with the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Marvin Feldman Award, which recognizes achievement in business and technology.
