Elizabeth Chittenden

Founder, Lizzy Couture

Nashville resident, Elizabeth Chittenden, has had a passion for collecting and making jewelry for as long as she can recall. As a child of the 60’s and 70’s Elizabeth was influenced by some of the most iconic women of our time and attributes her classic taste to Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly and Coco Chanel. Chittenden also looks to the past to draw inspiration from the era of Marie Antoinette and the remarkable creations of 20th century jewelry designer Miriam Haskell.

After working a traditional nine to five job in the music industry, Chittenden could not ignore her need to follow more creative pursuits. In 2008, with the encouragement of her husband, Elizabeth decided it was time to break the mold and Lizzy Couture was born.

Elizabeth’s goal was to combine all her passions and create one-of-a kind jewels that prove imperfections can be beautiful. Her designs combine elements like old tulle, antique French trims, English fobs and trinkets, which result in spectacular, eye-catching pieces. Because of this antique element, no two pieces are alike and each piece possesses rich history and a story all its own.

“My collections have been derived from my love of history and the various experiences I’ve had throughout my life,” says Elizabeth. The end result is jewelry that is unique and exceptionally beautiful.
