Elizabeth Parisian is Policy Director for <a href="http://standupchicago.org/" target="_hplink">Stand Up! Chicago</a>, a coalition of community organizations and labor unions working together for economic justice. She authored <em><a href="http://www.cpegonline.org/2011/10/07/investing-in-chicago-communities-a-jobs-fund-for-a-future-that-works/" target="_hplink">Investing in Chicago Communities: A Jobs Fund for a Future That Works</a></em>, a proposal to create 40,000 new jobs in the city by generating $1.4 billion in annual revenue through a $.25 per fee on speculative trades on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE). Elizabeth has written for the <em><a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/ct-perspec-0126-cme-20120126,0,1722232.story" target="_hplink">Chicago Tribune</a></em> and has appeared on Chicago Tonight on WTTW, <em><a href="http://wvon.com/personalities/salim-muwakkil.html" target="_hplink">The Salim Muwakkil Show</a></em> on WVON, <em><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1id7TXgqaiU" target="_hplink">Live from the Heartland</a></em> on WLUW, and other programs.
