Ellen Dumm

Strategic Communications Consultant

Ellen Dumm lives in Denver, CO with her husband where she owns her own communications consulting business. She started her professional life as a reporter and worked in southwestern Colorado, Colorado Springs, Wichita and Denver. As a public relations/public affairs professional, she worked for Kogovsek & Associates, U.S. Census Bureau, City of Aurora, City of Denver, Scientific & Cultural Facilities District, the Colorado State Senate and Gov. Bill Ritter's administration. In 2010, she started a non-profit communications organization - Campaign for a Strong Colorado - before starting her own firm, Smart Strategies. She attended Miami University and the University of Colorado. She holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Masters in Public Affairs.
