Elsie Owolo

Policy Manager at Teach Plus

Elsie Owolo is a policy wonk, educator, local and national campaign worker, and former congressional aide. She has served as a fellow for Education Pioneers and has spent the last four years teaching civics and history in inner city public schools in Texas. Prior to working as a teacher, she spent two years working on Capitol Hill. She is a recent graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University and was a participant of the White House Project “Go Run” training. She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University, Rutgers University, and studied British politics and literature at Harlaxton College in the United Kingdom. She is currently a policy manager for Teach Plus
