Emily is a Ph.D. candidate in Multicultural Education at the University of Washington. Her dissertation explores the impact of a culturally responsive professional development platform on teacher pedagogy, in an effort to make classrooms more equitable and provide all students, regardless of their identities, with ample opportunities. She works at the Center for Evaluation and Research for STEM Equity doing research and providing consulting and facilitation on issues of equity and culturally responsive instruction or leadership.
