Oceanographer, environmental scientist and explorer at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
Emily Callahan is an oceanographer and environmental scientist. In 2011 she worked in the Gulf of Mexico under contract with British Petroleum on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Her work in the Gulf analyzing the oil spill, and the development of the oil and gas industry sparked her current research interest in the Rigs-to-Reefs program. After spending time as an environmental consultant, Emily is currently pursuing her graduate degree at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
