New York State Supreme Court Justice
Emily Jane Goodman is a New York State Supreme Court Justice. She is also a prolific journalist, writing mainly about legal issues for the general public in magazines, newspapers and online. She is currently a Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellow and has been a Charles H. Revson Fellow. Emily has served on numerous Boards, and has been active in women's issues and civil rights. She was one of the international monitors of the presidential election in Venezuela and wrote about it for The Nation. She is a regular columnist for GothamGazette.com, a New York City daily covering news and policy.
The Collected Papers of Emily Jane Goodman have recently been acquired by the City University of New York and are available at Brooklyn College. She has one daughter, Justine, who is City Editor for NY nightlife at citysearch.com.
