Emily Sernaker is the Volunteer and External Relations Coordinator for the International Rescue Committee’s resettlement office in Silver Spring, Maryland. Prior to joining the IRC, Emily worked with The Polaris Project, Wellspring International, The San Diego Rescue Mission, and Invisible Children.
Emily is a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar. She holds a BA in Creative Writing and Social Justice from the University of Redlands and a MSc in Equality Studies from University College Dublin.
