Director of Communications, National Peace Corps Association
Erica Burman is the director of communications for the National Peace Corps Association and editor of WorldView magazine.
Erica has worked with National Wildlife Federation’s Corporate Conservation Council, the African environmental governance program of World Resources Institute (WRI), and as a researcher for a team of National Geographic documentary filmmakers developing a project on global population issues.
She was a Peace Corps education volunteer in The Gambia. In the 1990s, she lived in Botswana, where she consulted for WRI, the School for International Training and USAID. Following her return to the U.S., she pursued a career as a freelance writer. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post and other publications.
Erica holds a B.A. in international relations from George Washington University. Following her Peace Corps service she obtained an M.A. in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
