Erica Shay is a 20-year-old college student studying Peace Studies and Nonviolence at New York University. The Massachusetts native is also a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. This summer, Erica interned at the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. Erica’s humanitarian work began at a very young age, and she has been most recognized for her fundraising efforts for Invisible Children. In 2011, the teen raised over $60,000 for Invisible Children’s lifesaving programs in central Africa. Currently, she is fundraising for their zeroLRA campaign and making a documentary for The Future Project.
