Erik Love

Author: Islamophobia and Racism in America (Spring 2017), Sociologist Studying Civil Rights Advocacy at Dickinson College

Erik Love is the author of the forthcoming book ISLAMOPHOBIA AND RACISM IN AMERICA (NYU Press, Spring 2017). He is based at Emory University as a Visiting Fellow at the James Weldon Johnson Center for the Study of Race and Difference. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Erik’s academic interests center on race, racism, and civil rights advocacy. His research has received support from the National Science Foundation and the Center for New Racial Studies. His writing has appeared on Al Jazeera English, Jadaliyya, and in peer-reviewed academic publications.
