Erin Farber left NYC in 2004 to spend just "one year" abroad in Paris. One year quickly turned into seven, and she eventually made her home in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she worked as a copywriter and wrote for publications such as Time Out Amsterdam. Although she returned to the States last year to launch her own nail polish brand – étoile new york – she still visits Europe regularly to get her fix of three-euro house wine and fresh baguettes.
