Ernest Randriarimalala

Communications Support Officer, WaterAid

Growing up in a small village outside of Antananarivo, Madagascar with his mother and six siblings, Ernest Randriarimalala knows first-hand the challenges of living without access to toilets and water that is safe to drink. After completing a degree in communications at the University of Antananarivo, Ernest worked as a community animator and volunteer for the UN, where he promoted the importance of clean water, sanitation and hygiene in local communities. Today, Ernest is a Communications Support Officer for WaterAid, where he is charged with sharing the personal stories of families impacted by the water and sanitation crisis in Madagascar, both before and after they have access to clean water and toilets.
