Ethan is head of international programs for Trees for the Future. He develops and manages reforestation and community development programs throughout Africa and the Caribbean and collaborates with organizations throughout the world.

As a community development and natural resources volunteer for the Peace Corps in Senegal from 2002-2004, he worked on community-based natural resource management projects. Ethan has also worked with the National Forestry Financing Fund and the International Ecotourism Society.

He has a dual masters degree in natural resource management and sustainable development and international affairs from American University and the University for Peace in Costa Rica.
