Evelyn Attia, MD is Director of the Center for Eating Disorders at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Attia is a Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College. Her research program focuses on developing better treatments for individuals with eating disorders. Dr. Attia’s work has been funded by the National Institute for Mental Health, NARSAD, and The Society for Women’s Health Research. She serves on the board of the National Eating Disorders Association, is a member of the Eating Disorders Research Society, an elected Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders, and has been listed in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” issue for more than ten years running.
