Father Alberto Cutié


Father Albert Cutié has had the special privilege of entering millions of homes throughout the world with his television and radio talk shows, books, as well as, his newspaper columns. His first self-help book, Real Life, Real Love (Published by Penguin) is available in English and became and international bestseller in Spanish. He has been involved in ministry since he was a teenager. Originally, her served as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church, in the Archdiocese of Miami, since his ordination on May 13, 1995 until he was officially received in The Episcopal Church in May, 2009. Since that time, he has been a parish priest in the Diocese of Southeast Florida. Father Albert and his wife Ruhama have been blessed with three children.

In October of 1998, Father Albert became the first clergy person to host a daily “talk-show” on secular television for a major network and aired on international television. He has been referred to as “Father Oprah” by Newsweek, Time and other publications. His first talk-show became an award-winning program that ran for three seasons on Telemundo (Owned by NBC/Comcast) in the United States and distributed to every country in Latin America. He later continued to host weekly talk-shows, HABLANDO CLARO CON EL PADRE ALBERTO (Straight Talk with Father Albert), and ABRE TU ALMA CON EL PADRE ALBERTO (Open Your Soul with Father Albert). In addition to his extensive work in the media, he has served continually as a full-time parish priest and administrator in several parishes for the last 20 years. He was President and C.E.O. of Pax Catholic Communications (a multi-media organization known as Radio Peace and Radio Paz in Miami) from 2001 until 2009.

One of Father Albert’s passions is to engage audiences with faith perspectives on real-life problems which affect our modern-day society, especially controversial issues, too often avoided by spiritual leaders.
Father Albert is the Rector of St. Benedict’s In Plantation, FL. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Duncan Center (Conference/Retreat Center of the Diocese of Southeast Florida), he is a member of The Commission on Ministry and as a Trustee of the Univeristy of the South (Sewanee), where he recently completed his Doctor of Ministry Degree.

In his memoir entitled, Dilemma, he shares his experiences and controversial personal journey as a celibate priest to becoming a married priest in the Episcopal Church. He is now preparing his third book, to be published in the Spring, 2016.
