Fatima Ayub is a political researcher and writer. She currently divides her time between the United States and the Middle East. She is an associate policy fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, and has formerly worked at the Open Society Foundations, the International Center for Transitional Justice and Human Rights Watch. She focuses on policy issues in US, Europe, Middle East and South Asia, and has a standing interest in crisis, conflict, rights and justice.
