Francisco Micheo Marcial was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He moved to NYC in 2011 to attend Columbia University, where he graduated from in 2015 with a degree in U.S. History and English Literature. He then joined the Teach for America New York Corps, where he taught bilingual education and completed Hunter College's Masters in Science in Bilingual Education program. He enjoys writing as a tool to enact social change, and believes that humor is the most important way to broach complicated subjects.
