Dr. Frank B. Hu, M.D., Ph.D., is Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hu is Co-director of the Program in Obesity Epidemiology and Prevention at HSPH. He is also the Director of Harvard Transdisciplinary Research on Energetics and Cancer (TREC) center. His research is mainly focused on dietary and lifestyle determinants of obesity and Type 2 diabetes. His group has conducted extensive analyses on sleep deprivation and shift work and risk of obesity and diabetes in the Nurses’ Health Study. Dr. Hu has published more than 400 original papers and reviews and a textbook on Obesity Epidemiology (Oxford University Press 2008).
