Fred Schebesta

CEO and Co-Founder of finder.com

Fred Schebesta is one talented guy. A famous entrepreneur in his homeland of Australia, Fred is Co-Founder and CEO of personal finance comparison website finder.com. Now at 35, Fred is a published author, blogger, award-winning digital marketer, media commentator, mentor and active member of the startup and small business community. He’s also just embarked on his biggest business endeavour yet, launching finder.com in the U.S. to fulfill a dream of building the world's leading financial comparison website. At just 22 years of age while still studying a Bachelor of Finance degree at Macquarie University in Sydney, Fred and long-time school friend Frank Restuccia created Freestyle Media and grew the business into a successful digital agency that sold to a publicly-listed company in 2007. Fred entered the Australian comparison market – one of the most highly competitive internet categories in the country – 10 years ago, at age 26. In that time, he developed innovative growth strategies so successful that finder.com.au today is one of the most successful Australian online companies, with over one million visits per month. Fred and his business partner Frank Restuccia, and their 120+ crew, are set to take on the competitive comparison space in the U.S. with finder.com launching in September 2015, by helping more people compare and understand banking products and more. Fred’s entrepreneurial journey started well before finder.com. At 22, Fred was awarded ADMA Australian Young Direct Marketer of the Year as well as the NSW winner. At 23, he was listed in Australian Anthill’s 30 under 30. In both 2011 and 2012, Fred was elected as a judge for the Startup Smart Awards and was a judge for Money Magazine’s Best of the Best Awards in 2013 and 2016. Fred is author of the ebook, ‘How to create an Online Marketing Campaign that Sells’, a regular business blog contributor, mentor at many different organisations such as University of Technology Sydney Entrepreneur program and Blue Chilli, and a Startup Australia Ambassador and St George Bank Ambassador.
