Living in the city of Sacramento, <a href="" target="_hplink">Garrett McCord</a> works as a food writer and recipe developer at his blog, <a href="" target="_hplink">Vanilla Garlic</a> and as a freelancer for mags, papers, and sites that chat about food. His writing has appeared in publications such as <em>, Wall Street Journal, Smithsonian, Gourmet Live</em>, and <em>Culture</em>; and he regularly contributes to the <em>Sacramento News and Review</em> and <em>Edible Sacramento</em>. His cookbook, <em>Melt: The Art of Macaroni and Cheese</em> was published by Little, Brown in 2013.
