President & CEO - Bonfils-Stanton Foundation

Gary serves as President and CEO of the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation in Denver, the leading foundation supporter of arts and culture in Colorado. The Foundation also operates the Livingston Fellowship Program, a highly acclaimed leadership program for the nonprofit sector. Previously, from 2008 to 2013 he was the Chief Cultural Officer for the City of Philadelphia, directing the City's Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy. From 1993 through 2008 he was the CEO of the national Arts & Business Council, merging it in 2005 with Americans for the Arts, which led to his serving as Vice President for Private Sector Affairs for Americans for the Arts.

In an earlier life he was a theatre producer, serving as Executive Director of Tony Randall's National Actors Theatre and Managing Director of the Vineyard Theatre, as well as producing several shows commercially.
