Television comedy writer and author

Gary Jacobs wrote and produced television comedy for 25 years. Among his many credits are "Newhart" and "Empty Nest." He was also the creator of two series: the post-apocalyptic "Woops!" and the groundbreaking "All-American Girl" (starring Margaret Cho), the first sitcom to feature an Asian-American family. He is the author of four books: the novel STILL LIFE WITH GENITALS; OUT OF MY MIND: A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS, SHORT STORIES AND OTHER SILLY THINGS; a children’s book, THE CURIOUS ANT; and an anthology of humorous shorts stories and political essays, MAYBE IT'S JUST ME.
